If only I could understand what this "globalization" thing is about!!!

Nothing is global in this world. National borders are very stricly defined, cultural misunderstandings are still occuring, religious clashes are booming, and inequalities are increasing. Where's the globality in all this? :)

Sorry Ahmad and Tarek for being late to reply. >_<

As of the big G, I now think it is another WMD! o_O

Yes it is devastating. It is proliferating and the globality is only a nice scheme, word, that sounds uniting, however it is rather very dividing.
I fear that globalization is an attempt to disarm the world's versatilities and diversities.
It is like imposing a uniform. It might look nice. However not everyone likes uniforms. Some appreciate homogeneity, others however find greatness in nonconformism and adapt better in heterogeneity.
I think we should respect our differences rather than pretend to globalize them for doing so makes them lose their identifying characteristic of being first and foremost DIFFERENT!
Anyway, we end up, always, by learning from our mistakes. Who knows, may be that is how Humanity is achieving its progress towards the 22nd century, if any.
